Joseph L. Allbritton Scholarship

The Allbritton Scholarship, established by the gift of Mr. Joseph Allbritton, in 1984, is awarded to an outstanding Georgetown senior for one year of post-baccalaureate study in any academic program offered at Brasenose College, University of Oxford. Brasenose College is one of the 39 constituent colleges of the University of Oxford. The Allbritton Scholar will be selected on the basis of academic excellence, character, public service, and interest in the well-being of others. In addition to tuition and fees, the Allbritton Scholar will receive a yearly stipend for travel and living expenses.

Requirements:

You are invited to apply to the Allbritton Scholarship if you meet the following criteria:

  • You have a final interview for the Rhodes and/or Marshall Scholarship.
  • You are a senior in one of the four undergraduate schools at Georgetown.

Students who are eligible for the Allbritton Scholarship will be contacted directly by the Office of Fellowships.

Please take note of the graduate school application deadlines for your specific program; the scholarship is contingent on your successful admission to an Oxford at Brasenose program.
