Students who wish to participate in the Carroll Forums must apply to the program at the end of the fall semester of their first year.
The application process consists of three parts:
- Endorsement by faculty member (interested students must email firstname.lastname@example.org to request the form be sent to the faculty endorser). Nominations must be received by Friday, Nov. 17 for a first-year student to be considered for the Carroll Forums.
- Carroll Forums Entrance Exam. Saturday, December 2, 10a - 12p in ICC 115.
- Supplementary application materials. Due by noon on Monday, December 4.

Students who succeed in the Carroll Forums and wish to enter the Carroll Fellows Initiatives must submit a proposal for a CRIG by the end of their sophomore fall.
Sophomore transfer students may apply in the summer before matriculating and, if admitted, immediately begin the Forum in the fall.
