Joseph Allbritton Scholarship

  • Kate Henningsen (COL '04)
    Kate Henningsen is an honors History major hoping to eventually enter politics in her native state of Wisconsin. Kate has pursued her passion for politics through various work experiences at the office of Senator Russ Feingold, the Democratic National Committee and the United States Embassy in Madrid Spain. During her junior year, Kate founded Georgetown Women in Politics, which works to educate its 350 members about the barriers women continue to face when running for public office. As an undergraduate research fellow she has written on women's historic role in the national parties and their current voting patterns in the 107th and 108th Senate.

Churchill Scholarship

  • Iga Wegorzewska (COL '04)
    Iga, a Biology major and Psychology minor at Georgetown, was a Howard Hughes Undergraduate Scholar, a recipient of the Goldwater Scholarship, and a member of the Georgetown Chapter of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society. She has conducted research in a Neurobiology laboratory as well as in a Molecular Biophysics laboratory. While at Cambridge, Iga will work toward her MPhil in the Biological Sciences, investigating neurodegenerative disorders. She then hopes to enter a combined MD/PhD program to pursue biomedical research in an academic setting.
